Inspect It Right Home Inspections LLC is proud to once again be a Bronze Sponsor for the Traditional Wausau Powwow being held November 10, 2012 at Wausau East High School Gymnasium. Indegenous Circle of Nations (ICON) in conjuction with the Wausau School Disctrict hold this annual traditional powwoww for the students, youth, families and the whole community.
This event brings tribes from all over the country to come together in celebration. This years events includes raffles, contest specials, food, dancing and much more. There will be traditional storytelling in the gym at 5:00pm for children and families. And as always, the public is welcome to join in.
One exciting piece of news is is that ICON recently completed a huge goal of attaining Native American Artistic Designer/Director and 9 time Emmy Award Winner, Nick Hockings, to come and construct a Woodland Indian Village in the Wausau School Forest. This re-created Indian Village will be uses as a hands-on tool when teaching students about the Woodland Indians of our area. It is the first of its kind, and we are very proud of it! ICON's goal is to help ALL the students in our District achieve a better learning experience.
